SC Army National Guard SSG James David Bullard, 28, of Marion, SC, died in Spearwan Ghar, Afghanistan on October 30, 2007.

Bullard died of wounds from enemy fire suffered during combat operations.  He was assigned to SCNG 1st Battalion, 263rd Armor Battalion, Marion, SC.

Bullard graduated from Marion High School and Florence-Darlington Technical College.  Prior to deployment, he worked as a grocery store manager at Food Lion in Dillon, SC and assisted the ROTC at Marion High School.
